Our Location
Ninigret pond
Ninigret Pond, located in Charlestown, is the largest salt pond in the area and connects to Green Hill Pond via a tidal channel on its east side. Conveniently this is where Shelter Cove Marina is located. Ninigret Pond features a breachway that links it to the ocean. We do not allow any of boats or kayaks to use the breachway due to its strong current and dangerous navigability. The land surrounding the pond encompasses a national wildlife refuge, residential communities, and light commercial areas. The south side of the pond hosts numerous aquaculture leases, primarily growing oysters. Due to sandbars and the narrow channels connecting to the sea, boat size is limited on the pond. The pond attracts diverse users, including recreational boaters, kayakers, windsurfers, recreational fishers and shellfishers, and birders.

Our Boat Rental Fleet Includes
Aluminum Boats: 14' Marlon with a 9.9 hp Tohatsu. Boats come equipped with life jackets, fuel, oars, and anchor. Maximum per boat 4 adults.
Pontoon Boat: 20' Sunchaser with a 50 hp Suzuki. Boat comes equipped with USCG certified safety devices, life jackets, and anchor. Maximum per Boat 11 Adults.
